Rosalie Miller

Rosalie Miller is a filmmaker, actor, and co-founder of Wanderhouse Productions. She began her career as a performer and studio artist, combining performance art with mixed media installation. After working in LA for several years as an actor and artist, she moved to the pacific northwest and attended film school in Vancouver, BC, where she began working behind the camera. She is currently in production on her second documentary, Worth My Salt, a 2016 4Culture Artist Award recipient. Her documentary short debut, The Things We Keep, premiered at the 2015 Seattle International Film Festival and has been distributed by Alaska Airlines and KCTS9 Reel NW. She also serves as a producer on the feature-length documentary, Personhood, winner of the WIF Seattle Professional Grant, AmDocs Film Fund, and an Arts Project Award with 4Culture. Rosalie is a member of Women Make Movies, WIF Seattle, and the Seattle Documentary Association.

Rosalie received 2017 GAP Award funding for her short documentary, Worth My Salt, is an intimate portrait of queer drag-performance artist, Jody Kuehner, as she sets out to deconstruct everything she’s learned as a contemporary dancer and challenge audiences with her alter ego, Cherdonna Shinatra. With the support of the prestigious National Dance Project, she will embark on the most ambitious dance project of her career.
