Rya Wu

Rya Wu (b. 1993) is a self-taught abstract artist working in painting, glass, and wire sculptures, often combining these mediums and utilizing found materials and upcycled textiles. Drawing from their diverse background in psychology, silversmithing, life coaching, and jewelry making, Rya’s work invites profound personal reflection and connection.

Central themes in Rya’s work include death, loss, grief, trauma, self-reclamation, community, the immigrant and diasporic experience, healing relationships with our bodies, and honoring our forebearers.
