Sara DeVoe

Sara DeVoe is a lesbian comic artist and author who happily lives with her partner in Seattle, Washington. Her passion for the art of storytelling has fueled her ambitions for as long as she can remember. From filling out childhood notebooks to entering high school art competitions, this artistic instinct has driven her through fantasy lands and many projects big and small. She graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art in 2019. Since then, she has used art as a means to open communication with the local communities blossoming around her. This includes artists in the WA art market scene, as well as online groups like the SpiderForest Webcomic Collective.

Her current works include her ongoing project Runaway Drakaina, a self published online webcomic, as well as multiple smaller storytelling projects. Among these are her comic The Researcher and the Dragon, her comic The New Tenants featured in the self-published anthology book What Is A Fairy?, and a variety of roles as an improvisational storyteller on the ttrpg real play podcast Dice Funk. When she’s not working on her various creative outlets, she works at the Seattle Children’s Museum, bolstered day by day knowing that her work makes an impact on the families in her community.
