Learn About Grants for Artist Projects

About

Shawn Bayly has traveled all over the country performing both solo and accompanying other acts on lead/rhythm guitar. He has learned from and performed with many accomplished musicians and performed in diverse settings from the streets of New Orleans, to bars in Seattle, wedding events, radio shows and folk festival stages in Texas. Shawn teaches roots-based guitar, writes music, studies jazz and music theory and is continually learning about the rich blues/folk community in the Pacific Northwest region.

Shawn received 2015 GAP funding to create a lo-fi recording studio that will help him learn more about the process of recording through hands on experience, as well as help expand his portfolio and generate income. The funds will assist in the purchase of equipment and accessories and in marketing of his studio to others who may be interested in recording with him.
