About
Stan Raucher is an award-winning photographer who has been documenting aspects of the human condition around the globe for over a decade. He graduated from the University of Washington Extension Photography Certificate Program in 2004. He was a Critical Mass finalist in 2012, 2013 and 2015, a CDS/Honickman First Book Prize in Photography finalist in 2012, and a PX3 Bronze Award winner in 2015.
Stan’s work has been published in Slate, LensWork, Black & White Magazine, The Daily Mail, The Independent, Lenscratch, F-Stop Magazine, Shots, Adore Noir, and The Havana Times. His photographs have been shown in numerous solo exhibitions, including the 2009 International Photo Festival in Lishui, China, and the 2011 International Festival of Photography in Szécsény, Hungary. They have also been included in over sixty juried group shows. His prints are in the permanent collections at the Lishui Museum of Photography and the University of Washington Hall Health Center, and they are held by private collectors.
Stan received 2015 GAP Award funding for travel expenses to attend the spring 2016 Daylight Books launch and author signing events in New York City and Los Angeles for his forthcoming book Metro: Scenes from an Urban Stage.
