In 2005 Susanna was an Artist-in-Residence at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin and at the Karl Hofer Gesellschaft in Berlin. Her work has been shown in cities including Berlin, Dublin, New York, Seattle, Chicago, Washington D.C. and San Francisco. Susanna has lived in Seattle since 2006, is a member of SOIL gallery, and is affiliated with Prole Drift gallery. In 2013, she was featured in CityArts magazine
Susanna received a 2012 GAP to visit Yosemite National Park to work on a new series of paintings. Funding covered travel expenses to Yosemite and rent in Seattle while the project was completed. The project, You’re Still Here (An Experiment in Finding a Place I Never Left), is part of a three-person show entitled A Place For Memories and Secrets that will pose questions about the role memory plays in our physical experience of a place. The artist used painting as a way to grapple with a place that is imbued with cultural associations as well as her own personal narrative.
