About
Tracey Wong 黃麗塋 (she/her) is a queer Teochew-American interdisciplinary dance artist whose presence ignites and inspires every space she enters. She was born and raised in Seattle, WA in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, raised by her loving parents who were refugees from Vietnam.
Tracey’s global influence in the dance world is undeniable, as she wears multiple hats with care and quality: competitor, judge, teacher, MC, DJ, and performer. Over the past decade, she has gained multiple prestigious titles, including Ladies of Hip Hop – Waacking Champion (2019 in LA, 2024 in NYC), Rhythm Warehouse – Freestyle Champion (2024 in NYC), and Vancouver Street Dance Festival – Waacking Champion (2018, 2024 in Vancouver, BC). In 2022, Tracey was honored as a Legend in the Pacific Northwest Kiki Ballroom scene, recognizing her contributions to Ballroom over the years. Her dedication was also celebrated by the Seattle House Dance Project in 2017, Seattle Dance Crush in 2021, and Full Circle in 2024, highlighting her positive impact on the Seattle dance scene. Over the past decade, Tracey has created spaces for community expression through showcases, dance battles, parties, sessions, and workshops that highlight local to international dancers. Some events include Queen of the Hill (2015-2018), an all-ladies dance event series, Punk N Funk (2017-2019), House that Disco (2022), Waacking at the Pier (2021), which were some of Seattle’s largest Wh/aacking battles.
