About
Warren Armando Pope (b.1990) is an artist, illustrator, public artist, and architectural designer based in Seattle, WA. As an artist, he hybridizes physical and digital techniques informed by architectural drawing to explore themes of otherness, plasticity, and transformation as they relate to multiracial and queer identity in the digital age. He works in a variety of media including paintings, drawings, digital works. Warren has shown work at the Vashon Center for the Arts, Museum of Museums, and Northwest African American Museum.
In addition to his studio art practice, Warren is a public artist at Rohleder Borges Architecture. He recently completed and installed ‘Swoon’ at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, WA. He has previously supported Koryn Rolstad Studios, installing 15 public artworks in 11 states. He frequently brings his public art experience to UW ‘s College of Built Environments and Summer Youth Program as a guest speaker and instructor.
