About the Workshop
Join Artist Trust Program Manager, Anna Teiche, for a focused 1.5-hour session on how to write an effective and memorable artist biography. Whether you’re putting together an application or gathering materials for a press release, publication, or exhibition, a strong biography can help establish your credibility, provide background and context for you and your work, and connect you to a wider audience. Anna will walk through the structure and tone of a professional artist bio, review and analyze examples of strong bios, and go over what to include (and what to leave out!). You’ll learn how to tailor your bio for different contexts, and have focused time to begin drafting your own.
