ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Join filmmaker and 2024 GAP recipient Derek Nunn for an overview of Artist Trust’s Grants for Artist Projects (GAP) application process. In this 1.5-hour workshop, you’ll learn about Artist Trust, the 2026 GAP awards, and how to apply. Derek will break down the application components and share tips to help your application stand out. This event is presented in partnership with The City of Tacoma Office of Arts and Cultural Vitality.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Derek Nunn is an emerging writer and director returning home from Los Angeles, CA. For over 15 years, he has worked in various departments of film and television production companies, cultivating story ideas and concepts into reality. From award-winning independent production companies such as Steakhaus Productions, Hidden Empire and Animus Films to networks and studios such as Warner Brothers, MTV, Paramount Pictures, Spike TV, Vh1, Nickelodeon, Sony Pictures, BET, Comedy Central and 20th Century Fox. Since starting his own production company in his hometown of Tacoma, WA, Derek Nunn is focused on developing dynamic and innovative stories that showcase uniquely underrepresented groups and demographics for film
and television.
