About this Workshop

Wondering about the growing news around generative artificial intelligence and the arts, and how this might affect your work as a creative? Join Krista Mirhoseini of Mirhoseini Creative Law, PLLC for the second in our three-part series on Creative Business Basics!

This workshop will give an overview of generative AI and the current legal landscape for creatives interested in using generative AI or protecting their work from others using generative AI. We will then look at the Visual Artists Rights Act (VARA) and discuss the federal protections offered by VARA, including who and what is protected under this law. Each topic will use current court cases that will help you further understand these legal concepts.

This workshop is the second in a three-part series. Attendance of the other workshops in this series is not required, and note that you must register for each workshop you would like to attend separately. You can learn more and register for the upcoming workshops here.
