ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
If you’ve received a grant, been commissioned, or sold artwork on Instagram, you’ve been paid for your artistic work. You’re now running a business, and in Washington State, you may be required to have a business license to operate legally.

Attorney Benjamin Kerr will explain the different kinds of business entities, including sole proprietorships, LLCs, and general partnerships, and which is the right fit for you. You’ll learn how to form a business, what paperwork you need, and what’s required of you by law. This class will show you the benefits of forming a business and help you avoid costly tax penalties and other legal hassles.
