Artist statements are hard to write, but they are an important tool for artists working in any discipline. In this workshop, led by Artist Trust’s program team, you will learn the basics of writing successful artist statements and create your own. By the end of the workshop, you will have a solid statement to use for grant, residency, or fellowship applications, on your website, and/or in your portfolio. This is a standalone workshop in part of a larger series that will take place through the fall.

TAKEAWAYS:
– Strong artist statement to use for presenting your work
– Artist statement essentials
– When you might need an artist statement
– How to explain your work and creative aspirations in writing

This program is presented in partnership with the City of Auburn.
