The Nebraska Arts Council is accepting qualifications for a 1% for Art project at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. The Williams Science Hall, previously the College of Pharmacy, is now the main hub for student services offices and gathering place for students, studying, and collaboration. Located on 42nd street, which is one of the main thorough-fares of campus, the newly renovated building includes an outdoor plaza with plenty of seating. This is the artwork site for an exterior sculpture or wall installation. Other sculptures on campus are playful, engaging and relatable, and the committee would like to continue that vision. The artwork should be inviting for people to sit nearby and feel welcome, and should offer an iconic and identifiable place for people to meet.

Professional artists/teams within the U.S. are eligible to apply. The total budget for the artwork and related project expenses is $81,000. Three to four (3-4) finalists will be invited to present a proposal and receive an honorarium.
