Each year, hundreds of artists, writers, performers, musicians, and creative professionals of all disciplines are encouraged to customize their time and conduct self-directed residencies at Centrum. Located on the land of Coast Salish tribes including the S’Klallam, Chemakum, and Makah people. Centrum resides within the 400+ acres of Fort Worden State Park alongside a host of partner arts and cultural organizations. Residencies include fully funded, partially funded, and fee-based programs.

Artists, writers, performers, musicians, and creative professionals of all disciplines are encouraged to customize their time and conduct self-directed residencies. Projects might be the creative work of an individual or encompass the collaborative work of a group. Self-Directed Residencies occur throughout one to six week sessions between mid-August and mid-June.
