Spokane Arts seeks to purchase original, unframed two-dimensional artworks (including photographs, drawings, paintings, prints, mixed media, etc.), for the Spokane Public Library. Portable works will be installed in Spokane Public Library branches which serve an all-ages audience.

This opportunity is open to professional studio artists residing in Washington state in the near Spokane region (Spokane and within 40 miles of Spokane) who have original, unframed two-dimensional artworks available for purchase. Artists from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in public art are strongly encouraged to apply, including Indigenous artists and artists of color.

Artists wishing to be considered for this opportunity should submit up to 5 images of works currently available for purchase; submitted work must be reserved “on hold” until notifications go out in late May 2021. Please do NOT include sales tax in the purchase price of each artwork. Selected artists will be responsible for all packing expenses and shipping/delivery (insured) costs to Spokane Arts. Art will be purchased unframed. The purchase price of any single artwork will not exceed $5,000. Works of art will be purchased at a variety of price ranges.
