To honor the legacy of beloved artist Alden Mason, The Alden Mason Foundation is granting $12,000 to one outstanding painter currently residing in Washington state. Two additional artists will be selected to receive a Special Recognition Award of $1,000 each. Eligible applicants must be over 18, reside in Washington, and be actively practicing their craft while not enrolled in a matriculated art program. A distinguished and diverse panel of arts professionals will evaluate every eligible application. Painters working in all genres and experience levels are encouraged to apply.
