AMAZÓNICA is located on the banks of the Nanay River in the community of San Pablo de Cuyana in Iquitos, Loreto – Peru. The Community of Cuyana has its origin in the migration of the Quechua Andean ethnic group to the Peruvian jungle.

RESEARCH AXES:
> Contemporary art as an affective and community tool in rural towns.
> Cultural scene and autonomous efforts in the Peruvian Amazon.
> History of migration within the Peruvian Amazon (Loreto, Peru).
> Amazonian – Andean culture (Worldview, crafts, rituals, others).

ACTIVITIES:
> Induction to the social, historical and cultural context of the community.
> Presentation of residents’ portfolios.
> Weekly meetings and debate.
> Traditional technique workshop.
> Group visits to cultural spaces with local managers in Iquitos (Peru).
> Public presentation of research advances.
> Online publication of research results.
