Mirror Stage uses the power of storytelling to challenge assumptions, bias and prejudice, increasing equity and inclusion while encouraging more thoughtful reflection on today’s issues. We are hosting a series of events we are calling “Contexpo”- each month we are focusing on a new theme to be explored through different art forms.

We are currently inviting visual artists to exhibit work in the 2D realm that explores the concepts of veterans and post-traumatic stress disorder. This call is open to Puget Sound area artists, with priority given to those who suffer PTSD and/or are currently serving or formerly served in the United States Armed Forces, or those with family members whose lives have been directly impacted by PTSD or service in the US military. We will accept up to 5 pieces from each artist.

We have partnered with Phinney Neighborhood Association to host our Contexpo events. The current deadline for submissions is August 1, 2022. Artists will have the opportunity to sell their pieces to a diverse audience of appreciators and collectors, and the show will be hanging for two weeks, from August 12 to August 25.
