We are looking for an energetic/fun art instructor to help host Social Paint Night!

Summary:

Since 2020, Gallery B612 has been located in the SODO Seattle area. We are launching our Social Paint Night event. With nearly 1600 sq ft of space between the art gallery showroom and Baobob Learning Studio, we are seeking an art instructor to plan and lead an engaging class for the local community. The event will be a minimum of 3 hours held monthly starting Thursday, April 20th, 2023 with potentially becoming a weekly event.

Responsibilities:

Create, plan, implement, and instruct arts classes for youth and/or adults
Instructing engaging and creative art classes and projects
Setup before, and breakdown/cleanup after each class
Desire to learn and apply experiences as necessary

Requirements:

Associate degree or higher in a creative arts field
Background in arts and/or education required
Minimum 2 years teaching in the art field
Experience working with a variety of ages
Ability to adapt to changing needs and circumstances
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate in a positive manner with participants and gallery curators
Proficiency in one or more of the following arts & culture elements: crafts, visual art, painting, or drawing
Prior experience planning, managing, or coordinating creative arts programming
Bilingual skills preferred, but not required

Contract

Pay:

$25/hour
