I’m looking for studio mate to sublet half my space in ’57 Biscayne Studios. Studio is 405 square feet total, divided in half (approx. 200 square feet each, plus some lofted extra storage space, with each of us paying $355/month). AVAILABLE DECEMBER 1.

The space has a big window facing the hall and high ceilings. Each half has a big white wall of their own with bright new track and overhead lighting (there are photos on the website). Rent includes utilities & shared WIFI. Common areas include a kitchenette and break area; modern clean bathrooms; and spacious hallways which are available for tenant use for hanging art, events, installations, etc. We have historically had two popular open houses a year as part of Pioneer Square Art Walk; those will resume as soon as it is safe to do so. Basically, this building is an amazing place to have a studio! The members of this community are inclusive, serious about their art and supportive of other artists, and conscientious about safely sharing space during this time.

I work in water-based media and am looking to share with another low-toxicity person (no oil painting or other stuff with fumes). During Covid-19, we have to find ways to take turns using the room to make sure we’re generally not there at the same time, but once things go back to normal overlapping is fine. I tend to work later in the day, but I have a fair amount of flexibility and am happy to work out different schedule options together!
