Annual Fund & Events Manager
The Annual Fund and Events Manager oversees annual donor appeals and special events. Working closely with other members of the Development team, this position supports and strengthens individual donor endeavors; performs donor database management, reporting, and analyses; and coordinates the Benefit Art Auction, donor salons, and other special events. This position reports to the Director of Development and oversees interns and volunteers.

Time Commitment: Full time at 40 hours/week (exempt)

Responsibilities:

Annual Benefit Art Auction and events (40%)
• Serve as lead event manager for all development-related events, most notably the annual Benefit Art Auction (2020 event scheduled for March 28)
• Serve as project manager for Benefit Art Auction, with full knowledge of event logistics, goals, and strategies, participating in fundraising efforts
• Coordinate art and art experience procurement for Benefit Art Auction (e.g. public call for art and jury process, artwork drop-off/pick-up, artwork photography, online art preview, orientation workshop for donating artists, artwork packing and transportation, wall labels and bid sheets, art experience placards and certificates, live auction script, art wrap team volunteer training, and all notifications/correspondence with jury, procurement team, auction readers, artists, and purchasers)
• Work with graphic designer to develop visual concept, draft content, edit, and print collateral material for Benefit Art Auction (e.g. save the date, invitation, catalog, thank you card, website)
• Work with Development Coordinator to execute approximately 10 non-auction events per year, including preparation of invitations and related mailings, recruiting and managing volunteers, tracking RSVPs and guest lists, coordinating rentals, catering, preparing program materials (e.g. name tags, guest list, script, bank, collateral), and providing on-site coordination

Annual fund management (40%)
• Utilize Salesforce database tools to prepare and update standard and customized reports, providing analysis of donor giving, events, and other revenue-generating activities
• Work with Director of Development to create and update moves management in donor database
• Develop, implement, and evaluate annual fall and spring appeals
• Conduct individual prospect research
• Assist with maintaining current and accurate membership and donation information, as well as donor recognition lists, for website and database
• Participate fully in the donor acknowledgment and stewardship process, thanking donors through phone calls and hand written notes, and coordinating other donor relation activities throughout the stewardship cycle for recognition and appreciation of donors

Strategy, management, and other duties (20%)
• Strategize and execute promotions around Benefit Art Auction, special events, and annual appeals with communications team
• Serve as a staff liaison on Stewardship Committee and the Auction Committee
• Hire, train, and supervise interns as needed
• Work with Director of Development in developing annual plan goals, strategies, and work plan
• Assist with other revenue opportunities for the organization as they arise
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum two years’ experience in fundraising, preferably in a not-for-profit arts setting
• Strong computer skills
• Experience in event production and management with keen attention to details
• Donor database management experience with Salesforce skills preferred
