Bellevue Youth Theatre’s (BYT) mission is to provide opportunities in the performing arts for all young people regardless of income or ability, including opportunities to perform before a live audience. BYT is a youth development program that uses theatre productions as a means to develop self-esteem, confidence, and leadership skills. The theatre also has a rich tradition of creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for people living with disabilities. BYT provides the community with quality theatre productions which are both entertaining and relevant for the entire family. The program offers ten mainstage productions each year where everyone who auditions is cast in a role, as well as summer and school break day camps and additional workshops and classes. In addition to direct service provision, the theatre is rented as a performance, event, and rehearsal venue for a variety of community groups.

This position supervises and manages the daily operations of Bellevue Youth Theatre. Job duties involve program development, staff supervision, administrative tasks, and facility management. Develops, plans, implements and evaluates programs, performances and special events. Works collaboratively with other department supervisors and managers, as well as with local and regional community groups and organizations. Serves as staff liaison to the Bellevue Youth Theatre Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed to support the Bellevue Youth Theatre though funding and advocacy.
