Biophilia: A Love Story / Calls & Submissions
February 26, 2022
Organization Name: The Confluence: Art in Twisp
Organization Location: Twisp, WA
Type: Calls & Submissions
We invite you to consider contributing to our upcoming exhibit, Biophilia: A Love Story, at The Confluence: Art in Twisp. The exhibit will open on April 30th and run through June 11th, 2022.
Biophilia focuses on the connections between all living beings, and the fading, but innately human instinct to connect with nature. We ask you to consider the connections between yourself and your fellow creatures that support the breath, skin, and heart of the world. We challenge you to visually depict the harmony or disruption of these connections that define us as Earthlings. What do you see? What do you want to see? Is what we share greater than what separates us?
Number of pieces to submit: up to 3.
Each piece must be:
• Your own original work.
• Available for sale.
• Created in the last 5 years.
• Never previously shown in the Methow Valley.
• Any size.
• Any medium.
• Ready for hanging with appropriate hardware/wire secured to work. **Works without proper hanging hardware will not be hung.**
Please Note: the curators have the right to refuse work, even after work is delivered to the gallery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, or available space of the exhibit.
We are looking for work that is professionally presented with high-quality execution and thoughtful content that contributes to the vision of the show as stated above.
The Confluence is a non-profit gallery. All shipping costs to and from the gallery of unsold works are each artist’s responsibility. See The Confluence Shipping Procedures form for more details here.
Please email JanetEileenFagan@gmail.com or call The Confluence at (509) 997-2787 if you have any questions about the show or the requirements. We look forward to hearing from you.
