Call for Portfolios / Exhibition Proposals
Eastern Washington University Gallery of Art is currently accepting portfolios for the
2023-2024 exhibition season. The EWU Gallery of Art is a non-profit exhibition space located in Cheney, WA on the Eastern Washington University campus. Each academic year we feature four emerging or established artists exhibiting high artistic quality and practice.
Contemporary art in any medium will be considered, however digital work must be screen based as the gallery is not suitable for projections. Artwork will be insured while on the premises of Eastern Washington University. Accepted artists will be provided with an honorarium and when possible, assistance with shipping of artwork. Artists participating in gallery programming are typically asked to give a public artist talk, workshop or other community event.
Submissions should be submitted via email. Please include the following:
• 10 to 15 images of recent work (or link to images). For video works, please include links on the work list. Images should be 72dpi and sized to approximately 1500 pixels on the longest side.
• Work list including title, media, dimensions and year completed, additional info, etc. The list should include corresponding image file names, ie: Smith_01.jpg
• Artist statement
• Artist resume
• Artist bio
• Exhibition proposal. Submit a proposal for how you would specifically utilize the EWU Gallery of Art (Optional)
Compile and compress the above components into a .ZIP file and submit to: jhobson1@ewu.edu
Portfolios/Proposals must be RECEIVED by Friday, February 24th, 2023.
