Centro Cultural Mexicano is seeking art and exhibition proposals from Mexican, Mexican American, and Latino artists working and residing in the greater Seattle area. Individuals and small groups are invited to apply.

The selected proposal will be exhibited at Centro Cultural Mexicano at 7945 Gilman Street in Redmond, WA during Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15th, 2021 to October 15th, 2021.

The full exhibition and gallery space of Centro Cultural Mexicano will be available. The space can only accommodate two-dimensional work at this time. Artworks may be available for sale through the artist. Centro Cultural Mexicano does not handle the sale of artworks and does not take a commission on any works sold.

If you are an individual or group of artists who identify as Mexican, Mexican American, or Latino and are interested in proposing your work, please send the following:

• 5-10 images (jpegs only) of examples of the work you intend to exhibit. Please label files 01_LastName, 02_LastName, etc.
• Corresponding numbered list of image titles, sizes, materials, and year created.
• Artists’ Bio – 100-150 words
• Artists’ statement. 100-150 words
• CV

Please submit all application materials by 11:59pm on Saturday July 31, 2021 to francesca@centroculturalmexicano.org. This will be a juried show. Please feel free to reach out to the e-mail above with any questions or concerns.

Centro Cultural Mexicano is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and inclusive community space serving as a regional gathering place for connecting communities, with a focus on the Latino and BIPOC communities, to encourage building community, and individual empowerment through increased social and civic engagement. We engage the community through social services, assistance and referrals, cultural events, classes, community conversations, and art exhibits, to share information, education, and resources. Centro Cultural Mexicano busca propuestas de arte y exposición de artistas mexicanos, mexicano-americanos y latinos que trabajen y residan en el área metropolitana de Seattle. Se invita a las personas y grupos pequeños a presentar su aplicación.

La propuesta seleccionada se exhibirá en el Centro Cultural Mexicano en 7945 Gilman Street en Redmond, WA durante el Mes Hispano, del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre.

La espacio y galería del Centro Cultural Mexicano estará disponible. El espacio solo puede acomodar trabajos bidimensionales en este momento. Las obras de arte pueden estar disponibles para la venta a través del artista. Centro Cultural Mexicano no se encarga de la venta de obras de arte y no asume comisión sobre ninguna obra vendida.

Si usted es un individuo o grupo de artistas que se identifican como mexicanos, mexicano-americanos o latinos y están interesados en proponer su trabajo, por favor envíe lo siguiente:
