Caminos Por Andar- Latinx Futurism Exhibition / Calls & Submissions

June 23, 2024

Organization Name: University of Northern Colorado

Organization Location: Greeley, Colorado

Type: Calls & Submissions

Fee: Free

Exhibition Overview: “Caminos Por Andar” will explore Latinx and Chicanofuturism in contemporary art through the lens of speculative fiction, magical realism, and anti-colonial traditions. Artists featured in this exhibition will engage with a liberated heritage, to envision joyful and equitable futures through a variety of artistic mediums. Given the fluidity of human identity and blurred lines between culture and heritage, artists are free to create from a place of diasporic understanding, drawing on their own ancestry and traditions to center Latinx and Cincano/a/x experiences in imagined and alternate realities.

Location: Campus Commons Gallery, University of Northern Colorado
Application Deadline: June 23 (11:59 pm Mountain Time)
