The City of Elma is seeking an experienced muralist or muralist team to create a permanent outdoor public art installation inspired by the community theme “Where Everyone Belongs.”
Artists and artist teams with experience in outdoor murals, public art, or comparable multi-piece installations are encouraged to apply.
The project will consist of multiple individual hanging mural pieces arranged together as a cohesive artistic collage, incorporating ideas and inspiration from 10 community-submitted concepts.
The artist will be responsible for design, artwork materials, fabrication, painting, finishing, and delivery of the completed artwork. The City will be responsible for the physical mounting of the completed pieces to the wall.
Artist Budget: $15,000
RFQ Release: August 25, 2026
Submission Deadline: November 2, 2026
Artist Selected: March 15, 2027
Project Completion: July 31, 2027
