Let your TRUE COLORS shine through!

The Olympia Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce our “True Colors” season concert artwork contest. Each subscription concert during the 2023-2024 season will feature a different local artist’s submission.

WHO CAN ENTER?
Anyone living in Thurston, Mason, Lewis, Pacific, Grays Harbor, or Pierce Counties.

WHAT CAN BE ENTERED?
Your artwork should capture your interpretation of the phrase “True Colors.” Inspiration can be drawn from themes that will be woven into the season: belonging, friendship, courage, kindness, respect, passion, imagination, joy, freedom, and love. All mediums may be entered (watercolor, oil, acrylic, sculpture, collage, photography, graphic art, mixed media, etc.) so long as it can be digitized (e.g. have a high resolution picture taken of it). We can not accept Computer Generated Images (CGI) using AI. This is an art contest and all art must be original and created by a human. All of your work must be your own creation and not subject to licensing or trademarks.

WHAT DO THE WINNERS RECEIVE?
All selected artists will have their artwork prominently featured on one season concert’s marketing materials, including but not limited to posters, social media, concert programs, print media, website, etc. with their name appearing adjacent to their artwork (see poster example below). Additionally, each winner will receive tickets to the concert their artwork will represent.

The artists selected will retain their physical artwork but give the Olympia Symphony permission for its use in a variety of formats.
