We are looking for one artist or artist team, to research, write and illustrate a historical fiction comic book about history of Lynnwood and surrounding areas. The budget is $8,400. Deadline to apply is June 27, 2021.

From virgin forests visited by indigenous people, to timber industry, farms, suburban city,
commercial hub, to future transportation hub of South Snohomish County, Lynnwood has seen
big changes. The book’s target audience is youth. It will be available in printed and digital forms, and
provided to schools and libraries to distribute for free. We hope it will be an innovative way to
generate interest in local history, and how history informs the present.

This call is open to all professional writers/artists/illustrators living in Washington.
