AWARD DETAILS
What is Awarded: A free, one-year membership to Common Field (if you are a current member, you’ll receive 12 months additional membership), one membership level Convening ticket ($125 value), up to $800 reimbursement for round-trip travel and accommodations. The total value of each scholarship is $1,000.
Who Can Apply: Any national arts organization/arts organizer that does not have institutional support to attend. As membership is included in the award, you don’t have to be a member of Common Field to apply. The Scholarship is meant to support organizers outside of the Houston area who will incur significant travel and accommodations costs. International and Houston-based applicants are not eligible to apply to the National Scholarship Program.
How to Receive the Funds: Scholarships are awarded as a reimbursement for travel and accommodation expenses up to $800. Funds can be used to reimburse (with appropriate receipts) airfare, ground transportation, and hotel/accommodations. Funds will be distributed after the scholarship recipient submits a reimbursement form with copies of receipts and a brief final report after the conclusion of the Convening.
