Project Description
The Lynnwood Public Facilities District doing business as The District owns the Lynnwood Event Center (LEC) and approximately 13.01 acres of land and buildings surrounding the LEC at the Northwest corner of 196th Street and 36th Avenue West in Lynnwood, Washington. The LEC square footage totals approximately 63,975 SF on two levels.
The District is committed to the promotion of local and regional art and artists by showcasing artwork at the LEC. For the past eight years The District has sponsored two art shows annually where visitors can enter the building for self-guided tours of the artwork, under the guidance of an Art Committee working with an art curator. Artwork has been available for sale. In addition, we have hosted an artist reception for each show allowing the public to meet and greet the artists with food, drink and entertainment provided.
We are requesting proposals to fulfill an art curator position to assist with our current programming for art in the Lynnwood Events Center, as well as advise on future art projects on the entire property.
