Hilltop Artists is a mid-sized youth development arts nonprofit in Tacoma, Washington operating deeply impactful programs with broad community support, and a track record of success. We are currently seeking an Engagement & Communications Manager.

You will be joining a small, highly motivated staff with a focus on collaboration, equity, and excellence. A relentless enthusiasm, positive attitude, and strong sense of joy in the mission are essential.

The Engagement & Communications Manager is a full time, salaried position, and an essential leadership role at Hilltop Artists, contributing to the organization’s strategic success through storytelling, outreach, stewardship, and events.

The Manager works cross-departmentally, promoting Hilltop Artists programs, fundraising initiatives, and events. This position develops and implements communications campaigns and strategies across all platforms. Additionally, they oversee fundraising and community events, and supervise contractors and vendors who support event, communication, and design needs. The Manager is a strong writer and strategist, and is deeply invested in Hilltop Artists’ mission.

The ideal candidate for this position is dedicated to and guided by collaboration, with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This is anti-racist work guided by justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an understanding of trauma-informed care and social and emotional learning.

Salary Range: $55,000 – $61,000
