An 8-episode podcast project about the true stories from the underground salons for artists, poets, and musicians during China’s Cultural Revolution.
OPPORTUNITY REQUIREMENTS:
Chinese American actors
Male and Female Roles
Young adult and mature voices
Entirely in English – No need to speak or understand Chinese
Chinese accent not necessary
Washington State actors encouraged to apply
When:
Auditioning now and ongoing until roles are filled
Auditions held on-line through Zoom
Production schedules flexible to accommodate selected actors
Project completion: June 30, 2022
Where:
Everything will be created, recorded, and presented online
Why:
StoryBoards is committed to preserving and promoting oral histories through the arts. This true story is unknown in the US and not able to be told in China. We could face the same situation in the US. Knowledge is power especially through the arts.

How much:
All members of the StoryBoards Creative team are volunteers. Actors will be volunteers. However if fundraising is successful, StoryBoards will negotiate with the artists who will receive at a minimum an honorarium to the extent of available funds.
