We invite you to contribute to our upcoming exhibit, Filthy Little Pictures, at The Confluence: Art in Twisp. The show will open on January 15, 2022, and run through March 5, 2022.

Filthy Little Pictures will be an erotic art show celebrating the human body and sexuality in all its variations — it will aim to shine a light on the shadows cast by shame. As artists, we ask you to ponder the aspects of human sexuality that you feel hide in the shadows, to shine your artistic light on them. We are aiming for frank and unbridled visual expression.

Number of pieces to submit: up to 4.

Each piece must be:
• Your own original work.
• Available for sale.
• Never previously shown at The Confluence
* Any size — the word “little” in the title is not to be taken literally.
• Any medium.
• Ready for hanging with appropriate hardware/wire secured to work. Works without hanging hardware will not be hung.

Please note: the curator(s) have the right to refuse work , even after work is delivered to the gallery, if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, or available space of the show. We are looking for high quality execution and thoughtful content that contribute to the vision of the show as stated above.

Important Dates:

December 4
Email Intent to Submit and digital samples of work or website to penelopecurates@gmail.com.

December 20
Email high-quality JPGs (300 dpi) of accepted work or work in progress to penelopecurates@gmail.com for promotional materials.

January 8, 2022
Completed works to The Confluence.
The Confluence contract and inventory sheet completed.
Artist Statement and Bio for public display emailed to penelopecurates@gmail.com.

January 15, 2022 – Exhibit Opens
All artists are encouraged to attend!

March 6, 2022 – Exhibit Closes
Work is available for pick up on Sunday, March 6, 2022, 10 am-noon, or Monday, March 7, 10 am-noon, or by special arrangement with The Confluence.

The Confluence is a non-profit gallery. All shipping costs to and from the gallery of unsold works is each artist’s responsibility.
