Fortitude: Working Artists with Disabilities / Calls & Submissions

Deadline
January 31, 2023

Organization Name: Slip Gallery

Organization Location: Seattle, WA

Type: Calls & Submissions

Fee: Free

Discipline:

Working artists with disabilities from the Seattle/Western Washington region wanted to participate in a group show. The show will be part of the Belltown Artwalk, in May 2023.

The show will be up for the month at Slip Gallery (2301 1st Avenue, Seattle). There is no set theme for the show, other than giving voice and visibility to disabled artists in the community.

There will be an opportunity to sell prints if desired at Artwalk and we are currently workshopping different events throughout the month, such as artist talks and demos.

Gallery does not handle sales but will direct interested buyers to artist website or preferred contact. Artists are encouraged to have portable point of sale options like square reader, at the opening.

This is a great opportunity to showcase our work as serious artists who happen to have disabilities, networking with other artists, and hopefully selling some art!

If interested please submit up to 5 samples of work, artist resume (if you have), brief bio and/or artist statement.

Emerging artists encouraged to apply.
