ZINC contemporary is looking for a special person to join Team ZINC! We are a contemporary art gallery with the mission of making women in the art world visible and successful while making the act of art collecting a fun and social adventure of discovery and inspiration!

Qualified Applicants:

-Have 5+ years experience in the art and / or design industry
-Have 5+ years experience in sales and customer service and/or recruiting
-Are hardworking and proactive
-Are socially outgoing and love making connections
-Are curious and constantly learning new things
-Are fun to be around and team focused
-Are able to commit to 2+ years of employment and are looking for an opportunity to grow and be a part of an important mission driven creative business
-Maintain personal transportation and vehicle insurance with a clean driving record
-Be able to work a 5 day work week with additional overtime, weekends and evenings as required

Position Description:

Because we are a small and growing company our team members often wear many hats. This is a 3/4 – fulltime position working from our gallery in Seattle, Pioneer Square and includes the following responsibilities:

-Maintain knowledge of artists and artwork to better assist client and potential clients
-Perform all manner of sales and client service responsibilities
-Assist guests with inquiries about art works and products
-Administer to all aspects of data and inventory management with regard to our artists
-Assist with research projects
-Assist with installation/deinstallation of monthly or bi-monthly exhibitions
-Perform opening and closing duties
-Perform light cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness, look of gallery
-Ensure a welcoming space for guests during business hours
-Greet and acknowledge guests – ensure every guest feels welcome
-Create social media posts to meet brand guidelines
-Co-create weekly e-blasts and other email communications for clients and potential clients
-Co-write and edit press releases for upcoming exhibitions for both gallery locations
-Assist with website maintenance in WordPress
-Update online calendars with various event/exhibitions information
