Spokane Arts and Hooptown USA are seeking individual artists or artist teams to submit proposals for new murals to be installed on three outdoor basketball courts in Spokane, WA. Murals will be installed on basketball courts in Peaceful Valley, Chief Garry Park, and Thorton Murphy Park.

We are excited to be bringing three new unique murals to parks throughout Spokane. These highly visible and interactive locations will be fun additions to the public art in Spokane, to be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. A celebration of the strength of both our local arts and sports communities, these murals are part of a larger Hooptown USA project revitalizing courts throughout the region, with support from MultiCare.

Three different artists or artist teams will be selected for these projects. Artists are invited to submit up to three designs, and may select to have their designs considered for one, two, or all three of the court projects.

Deadline for submissions is Thursday, April 23 at 11:59 p.m. The stipend will be awarded in the amount of $8,500 for each court mural.
