The purpose of the Individual Artist Grant is to support the creation of new work by eligible artistic professionals.

Artists who live on Bainbridge Island or have a permanent studio on Bainbridge Island are eligible to apply.  Applicants should provide details of ongoing or upcoming projects.  AHB is especially interested in new work that will positively impact our community.  Projects’ artistic merit and an artist’s financial need as it relates to their practice will also be taken into consideration.  Grants of up to $1,000 may be awarded.  The application deadline is August 31, 2020.

Artists can apply for the Individual Artist Grant by submitting application materials to grants@ahbainbridge.org. Applicants will be asked to submit photos or examples of their work along with sales, exhibits or awards history. Funds can be used to travel, education, special projects, supplies, professional development or fellowships. This year (year 2) submissions will be limited to visual artists (including 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional, mixed media, glass, ceramics, etc.)

Winners will be announced September 4, 2020
