Held throughout the month of November, the Lavender Rights Project’s LGBTQ Artist Showcase offers a month-long exhibition in the Hillman City Collaboratory, an Artist Reception to kick-off the exhibition, and an Art Auction where you can bid on your favorite pieces in the showcase. We are calling all Seattle-based queer and trans artists to submit work to be considered for display and sale at these events:

Celebrate the talent and creativity of local LGBTQ artists and performers at this free community event! Preview art that will be featured in the 2nd Annual LGBTQ Art Auction, explore the role of art in social justice movements, enjoy food and drinks, and directly support our passionate community members with the Lavender Rights Project.

The Lavender Rights Project presents our 2nd Annual LGBTQ Art Auction, featuring a silent auction on art pieces submitted by local LGBTQ artists from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds. Proceeds from the event benefit local artists and the Lavender Rights Project, contributing to our ability to provide sliding scale and low bono legal services to low-income queer and trans people across Washington.

Note: While we will not ask for the identities of artists who submit a form, we would like this auction to focus on supporting the experiences, realities, and talents of LGBTQ+ folks. Please be mindful of this when submitting art for this event.
