Subjectiv is an independent online journal promoting the visual and literary arts in the Pacific Northwest. Published in spring and fall, the journal features art, photography, poetry, flash fiction and creative nonfiction. We are especially interested in sharing unusual, fresh, innovative work with our readers. Each issue is available to read online or download at no charge.

Open to established and emerging writers who are residents of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or British Columbia.
No reading/submission fees.
We do not accept simultaneous submissions but we have a short turnaround time.
We accept previously published work.
Type “Journal Submission” in the subject line of your email. Include a brief cover letter with your full name, website if applicable, and a third-person bio of up to 100 words.
Fiction and Creative Nonfiction:
We are looking for writing that evokes an emotional response, challenges expectations, intrigues us, or draws us in.
Send up to five pieces.
Combined total word count maximum of 2000 words.
Attach each piece as a separate .doc (MS Word) file.
Poetry:
We are looking for writing that evokes an emotional response, challenges expectations, intrigues us, or draws us in.
Send up to five poems.
Maximum of 30 lines each.
