About Us:
Mox Boarding House is the premiere gathering place for friends and family to share tabletop gaming experiences alongside meticulously crafted food and beverages. We offer a unique combination of an expansive retail store and a full-service restaurant, all within a beautifully designed and intentionally crafted space. As a member of the Card Kingdom family, we’ve proudly served our local communities for over 20 years.

We use tabletop gaming as a campfire – a gathering place where people connect, share, and celebrate. We are dedicated to creating community through food and gaming while cultivating deeper relationships with our guests, our team, our communities, and the world.

About the Project:
Mox Boarding House in Bellevue is seeking a local artist/muralist to create a large-scale art piece on our Patio that is impactful and showcasing Seattle/Bellevue and PNW’s culture, history and community while highlighting the artist’s unique style.

Project Location:
13310 NE Bel Red Rd, Bellevue, WA 98005
Left wall, 7’2″ x 10’6″ // Right Wall, 11’3″ x 10’6″
Artist’s choice to utilize the space as they would like.

Project Budget: $3,000
The budget is inclusive of artist fees, travel costs, mural supplies and materials and 3 years of as-needed mural maintenance (2026-2029).

Timeline:
Please read through the timeline carefully to ensure this will work with your own personal schedule.
June 25, 2026 – RFQ Release Date
July 15, 2026 – RFQ Submission Deadline
July 19, 2026 – Artist Selected and Contracted
July 26, 2026 – Preliminary Mural Design Created
August 3, 2026 – Mural Design Finalized
August – Mural Installation Completed (weather and holidays permitting)
August 2026 – August 2029 – Mural Maintenance Period

Payment:
50% of the payment will be sent at the beginning of the project.
50% of the payment will be sent at the completion of the project.

RFQ Submission Requirements/Materials:
Please email the following items (.pdf format, preferred) to ihsieh@moxboardinghouse.com with “Mox Bellevue Mural RFQ Submission” as the subject by Wednesday, July 15, 2026:
Current resume/CV
Letter of Interest/Approach to briefly describe their interest in the project, narrative description of their creative vision for the project and any constraints that you anticipate and how you would address them.
Provide images of at least one but up to three public works with 2-3 distinctive views of each piece. You may also include 2 photos of other works in order for us to assess your artistic style. Please ensure files do not exceed 2MB.
Please name files with the following format : name_artworkpiece_view

Eligibility:
Artists who are over the age of 21 and located within King County and surrounding counties are eligible to submit their interest and qualifications. Artists who have a very strong professional profile, experience in murals, distinct personal voice are encouraged to apply. Artists must be able to adhere to the timeline.

Selection Process:
Mox Boarding House Leadership Team will be reviewing all eligible submissions based on the following criteria:
Relevant professional experience
Creativity in past designs
Connection to Seattle area
Ability to meet project deadlines

Submission Deadline:
Required materials must be received no later than Wednesday, July 15, 2026 ast 11.59PM PST.
