The Foss Waterway Seaport museum is a Maritime Museum in Tacoma, Washington. We are looking for products created by Local Washington Artists and Craftspeople to add to our Museum Store.

We are seeking proposals for pieces that you make that can be modified to fit museum themes and be sold exclusively at the Foss Waterway Seaport Museum Store.

Artists that want to foster a long term relationship with the Foss Waterway Seaport creating products that can be updated as the museum exhibits transform and grow are encouraged. We are interested in seeing all proposals but are especially interested in household items and accessories (mugs, decor, coasters, toys, magnets, bookmarks, keychains, etc.) jewelry, and items made from sustainable or recycled materials that promote eco-consciousness.

Ideal products would be able to be purchased in batches of 3 to 10 as demand solicits ranging from $3-$15 per piece, though some consideration will be given to items above and below the ideal price range.

If your product is chosen, we will work with you with the specifics of content of the piece. Themes are developed around the maritime industry and science and wildlife of the Thea Foss Waterway and the Salish Sea.

Opportunity is open to all Pacific Northwest Artists, but preference will be given to Tacoma residents.

– General times of availability
– A short description of your product plus 1-3 sample pictures
-Normal production turnaround and considerations
– A list of the materials you use and call outs (Tree or Plastic Free, Recycled, Vegan etc.)
Multiple product submissions are ok

DEADLINES:
May 8th – First Review
July 31st- Final Review

We will reach out to artists with decisions within a month from the final review date with a target to stock all new items in October 2020.

Foss Waterway Seaport reserves sole discretion with decisions on stocking and acceptance of pieces at any point.
