Third Coast is thrilled to announce that our annual Call for Entries is now open to artists, journalists, storytellers, students, and anyone making narrative work in sound.
Our uniquely maker-centered competition solicits narrative sound work from across disciplines in nine categories. Third Coast’s annual Competition Cycle is driven by the urgent need to increase equity, support community, and expand experimentation in the field. We offer a sliding-scale collective pricing model, designed to lower barriers of entry to our field, and welcome into the fold makers at all levels of access to resources.
Every year, we offer eleven Third Coast/Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Awards, and name a short list of Third Coast Finalists. We are in the process of adding more opportunities and resources for entrants this year, and have so far introduced two new Pilot Offerings: a feedback initiative in the Best New Artist category, and a special lower rate for all non-English work.
