What is Mundane Fantasy Comix?
We’ve gone by many names over the past 5 years, starting off as Thick As Thieves, then Hair Flip Comix, but after a long hiatus, we are now Mundane Fantasy Comix! Mundane Fantasy is a Seattle-based biannual publication that features narrative, poetry and art comix. Bored of the PNW boys club comix scene, we prioritize BIPOC and womxn artists to highlight important and valuable perspectives as well as celebrate the creativity of our community. Straying from the traditional newspaper format, we seek to create something lasting that can withstand everyday wear-and-tear, and live among other zines on a bookshelf or coffee table.

What is the theme for issue 02?
The theme for Mundane Fantasy Issue 02 is PORTALS. Comix should be related to portals -real and imaginary!

Who can submit?
Priority is given to non-cis-men and BIPOC artists, but all are welcome to submit! Must be 18+. Artists who have already been featured are not eligible to submit to Issue 02; that way we can create new opportunities for artists!
