PART TIME CERAMICS INSTRUCTOR
PAY: $28-$50 per hr DOE
The Seattle Artist League is looking for ceramic arts instructors to teach at our spacious new clay studio in Georgetown, Seattle. Knowledge of ceramics and a variety of building and firing processes is necessary. Class schedule is somewhat flexible.
Position Specific Accountabilities
Demonstrate/teach various building techniques with clay
Support students in exploring their own style with the materials
Provide supportive and constructive critiques
Mix clay, slips, glazes. Load and fire electric kiln
Keep the studio clean and organized
Interact with people in a way that reflects the League’s values
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience teaching
Masters in studio arts, or studio equivalent
Active career as an artist or maker
