The Jansen Art Center would like to invite you to participate in our new themed community show: Plant Based.
Similar to our quarterly Juried Exhibits, artists of all mediums and experiences are welcome to submit their work, but with a twist. This exhibit will revolve around the theme of plants. The exhibit will be curated by a jury of community members, artists, and plant enthusiasts. Subjects of nature, botany, flora, or pieces made from organic materials and those which incorporate plant matter in the process. However you interpret this theme, we encourage you to take part.
Accepted mediums for your plant creations include but are not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, textiles, ceramics, jewelry, glass, basketry, sculpture, and mixed media. The Jansen Art Center can not ship artwork. You may send us your accepted piece, but must be able to pick up in person.
