‘Poetry Moves’ program seeks local poets
The nonprofit arts organization Artstra seeks poetry submissions for Poetry Moves Season 9. Adult poets (over 18 years old) at all levels of experience are welcome to submit. The deadline for submissions is October 31. Poetry Moves is an opportunity for both emerging and seasoned poets to inspire thousands or even help someone else with your creative heart and words. Poems can be submitted online at artstra.org/submit-poetry.
Artstra’s Poetry Moves program features original works by poets in Clark County and throughout Southwest Washington on C-Tran buses. The upcoming six-month session highlighting adult poets runs from January through June 2020.
Poetry submission guidelines:
You must be a current resident of Southwest Washington.
You may submit a maximum of 2 poems and they must be your own original work.
Each poem submitted must not exceed 7 lines with no more than 50 characters per line.
If your poem is selected, editors may have suggestions to ensure requirements are met.
One poem per poet will be selected with 10 poems selected for January’s launch.
Poem submissions will be accepted until October 31, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

About Poetry Moves
Poetry Moves is a program of Artstra in collaboration with C-Tran, providing poetry on bus channel cards in all C-Tran buses. Installed on buses every six months are ten new poems by local and regional poets or student poets. All buses in the C-Tran fleet display two different poem cards.
