Crystal Mountain is excited to invite local artists and teams to submit proposals for an outdoor, large-scale, three-dimensional public art installation to be displayed on the summit of Crystal Mountain year-round. The artwork should demonstrate environmental sustainability as one of our core values, showcasing the natural beauty of the mountain and the Pacific Northwest. Crystal Mountain is dedicated to eco-responsibility, as we demonstrate good stewardship of the mountain and preservation of the land that we live and play on.

The art installation should be interactive, made from recycled materials, and/or self-powered– i.e. wind-power, water collection, etc. We are seeking artists who have a passion for the outdoors, the environment, have a connection to the Pacific Northwest, and whose work intersects with social responsibility, sustainability, and caters to a diverse audience. The art will be a permanent, year-round addition to the mountain where guests can interact with the art and reflect on our role in the environment and the mountain community.

The selected artist will receive a prize of $5,000, plus budget for the project including commissioning, installation and infrastructure. All art submissions will be reviewed by the Crystal leadership and marketing team committee. -A preliminary outline of cost such as professional fees, installation, production, etc.
-Images and examples of previous and relevant artwork, including descriptions of materials, location, and dimensions
