Call for Art! “Machines” will be the third annual collaboration between Make.Shift Art Space and two local Montessori elementary schools, Cedar Tree Montessori and Samish Woods Montessori. Pieces made by 4th, 5th and 6th grade students will be interpreted by local artists and each artist’s “response piece” will be displayed next to the student painting that inspired it.
Due to Covid-19, our Gallery is currently operating only online. This exhibition will be held online with the potential for a limited access in-person show. We will let artists know at the beginning of April whether there will be an exhibition in-person and if they will need to drop off work at our location. Artists will be asked to take a high-resolution photo of their work to be displayed on our website. Work must be submitted by Saturday, April 25th. Assignments are given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To enhance our online show we will be creating video content of pieces in progress and short interviews from artists who would like to participate. Please let us know in your email if you would like to be a part of this.
